It’s the first of April and the #aprilwordsaday challenge has kicked off!
My first entry for day one’s prompt “the first time” was a six-word story:
Are YOU taking part? Do let us know so we can all share the experience.
#aprilwordsaday is a challenge for writers of all disciplines with the aim of flexing those creative muscles and providing inspiration.
The rules are simple:
Each day, take the prompt and allow your thoughts to “brainstorm” all associations and memories you have connected with it, or even new ideas or thoughts that arise from it. Use these thoughts to get creative with written words!
- A logline for a script (or even a story or a novel)
- A short poem; any style, perhaps try Haikus?
- A short story; perhaps try a six word story, or a six sentence story?
- A small stone; explore the inspired memories and thoughts and observe their effect on you… Read more about Small Stones on Fiona Robyn’s Writing Your Way Home website.
